A big part of Colne’s legendary Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival is Jessica Foxley Unsigned, a project to honour my awesome sister who was a budding musician.
This section of the festival is all about promoting amazing, young, unsigned musicians and giving them the chance to play on the main stages and rub shoulders with blues legends from as far afield as Chicago. Many of the bands and solo artists that come through our auditions are that good that they go on to clinch contracts, get booked for future festivals and win awards. It never ceases to amaze us how talented these people are and how much they push the boundaries of what blues can be. This year was no exception – it was shamazing!

Unfortunately we couldn’t be there on the first day of the fest as we were shooting a wedding so we missed Good Foxy – who by all accounts nailed their performance. Instead I’ve put some pics up of them performing at this year’s auditions – such top guys too!
